Bronco Raptor
Hello all,

New pre-loved raptor owner here. I loved my 23 Badlands but always had the Raptor itch. I wasn't able to get a golden ticket during the initial launch and subsequent delays, and I wasn't keen on paying ADM or the MSRP hikes the Raptors have seen.

Well, the market is now obviously in my favor. I happen to be keeping an eye out and found a 23 with 5k miles with carbon fiber/leather/graphics (still not sure how I feel about it - works well with the white, though) + beadlock capable wheels (love the look of these wheels) for a killer price. It looks brand new inside and out - no scratches or chips anywhere. I can tell it was babied for those 5k miles with the previous owner. As an added bonus, it appears they had the fenders paint matched, so with all the above, and someone else taking the depreciation hit... it was a no-brainer to do this over a 24.

I'm inserting dealer pictures as I haven't taken any of my own yet. I have a question as I'm not up to snuff with some of the Raptor intricacies or accessories, but from what I've seen, Raptors have the silver front bash plate; however, I believe mine has a plastic cover or such over it. Could someone help identify that?

Welcome to BroncoRaptor.com and Congratulations on the upgrade! 🍻 Appears that while it was getting the flares painted it also had the silver tow hooks, upper silver plastic trim that covers the bumper/tow hooks mounting bolts and the silver lower steel bash plate painted black. It appears from the photo that the stock gray metallic grill was also painted black to match the other bumper parts. No harm, it's a personal preference and many on here has also converted the silver to black. I like the looks with the Oxford White along with the tinted windows and graphics.

Good catch on the grill.

Congrats & welcome @Fausted - that’s a good l👀king Raptor and a nice upgrade over the very capable Badlands. Any mod plans or off-pavement adventures in your future?

Good catch on the other bits - I wasn't even thinking about all of that. I double-checked this morning, and the grill is still gunmetal grey. I guess with everything else blacked out in that area, it gives the illusion of being blacked out as well. I also didn't realize the graphic pack had hood graphics as well - appears the previous owner had those removed.

What's funny about this - white is never my first choice. I'd prefer to have Area 51 like my badlands. Similar story when I found a fantastic deal on my S550 GT when they first came out in 15. I wanted the blue at the time but found a deal I couldn't refuse on an Oxford white GT with black accents. I guess it's just meant to be. Plus, white is easy to maintain!

Well, I'd say the first tidbits I'm looking to add are: Whipple Tomahawk, Foutz motorsports leveling kit (not a fan of rake), and the UPR catch can. Catch can being the first, i'd imagine.

One of the draws to the Raptor was it's extreme capability while also being under warranty. So, I'll probably keep it pretty simple for a while and see how it handles everything. We all know how that goes though...

In Florida, we have a few spots where I can get out and play around a bit; however, we also have areas with a lot of tight trails. I'll probably stick to the sandy powerlines and more open WMA here. I vacation to NC/TN quite a bit so I can play with the rocks when up there.

The front end photo is shaded, making the grill appear closer to black as the gray metallic is already quite dark. I like the Oxford White, same color as my wife's badlands. In Florida as you know, can't go wrong with white.
