Not being able to find a solution off the shelf to fit my needs, I decided to construct my own setup to solve the problem.

Details

- Baja Design S2 Pro with flood lens on outers
- installed my acumen mirror rear flush mount camera in center on one side
- designed and 3d printed mount for camera and baja designs rock light on other center opening
- Made the brake LEDs 2 stage (on with running lights, increase in brightness when brakes applied)(just like oem on my bronco raptor)
- 3d printed a housing cover over rear dt connector
- added nmo mount for vhf radio
- all wiring done with high grade txl wire
- black titanium bolts

The way i have mine setup is independent control of the outer pair of lights and inner light. so for example, i can flash/strobe the center while outsides are solid, or any other combo i want to set up.

WOW!!!! That is one fine looking set up!!! Looks amazing!!! Great work!!!

I think you will have a lot of requests to build more!!!

Nicely done. I agree there is no perfect aftermarket solution. That looks a lot like Turn Off-road, which seems to be the best turnkey solution so far. I assume that you started with the Turn Off-road bracket/housing? I like the logo delete if you did.

How is the build quality on that? Is it solid? I want something that isn’t going to flex or rattle when bombing in the desert.

If this Turn, I thought the brake lights were two stage (brake / running) already, am I wrong on this ?

In any case nicely done!

After designing and reviewing costs to print a 1 off billet housing (even with my direct manufacturing relationships), it was significantly more cost effective to buy Turn's and strip EVERYTHING out of it, even though it meant compromising some things I wouldve done different from from a housing design. Turn does not use baja lights.

I replaced every light, every connector, every bit of wiring. I even replaced the baja design silver lens bolts with black titanium bolts. A 3d printed carbon housing was designed to separate the camera and the baja rock light into independent chambers so one does not effect the other. A baja lens was used and drilled for the camera to pass through and for the lens over the rock light. As well as for it to look like half an s2. Also, i added a nmo mount (turns does not have this). And one of the important aspects, developed a solution so the brake lights function as a running light and a brake light (like how it does on the oem braptor light). Again, turn's doesn't do this.

Fantastic work. Has visibility improved?

@Tye, Another one of your creative and cool modifications.
Love seeing what your working on as they are always a step above, unique, and truly custom.
Any installed pics yet?

BTW, I think your build thread has difficulty keeping up with you... :giggle:

Thank you, and yes i need to update the build thread lol. Here is a quick pic mounted, will post a video soon. Also here is where i mounted the acumen box: modified the sdsq switchpros mount for underhood/inner fender mounting of the acumen box, added techflex to the wiring harness to replace the cheap tape, and pinned the harness for single dt connector.

Very cool, your custom light/camera housing complements the rugged APG bumper and spare tire mounting arm. Nice camera clarity and positioning, well done!
