I'm particularly interested in the Barricade and Rough Country tubular rear bumpers. They actually look like they are the same minus the RC and Barricade labels. I've measured the rear corner to corner of my Raptor and a few other Broncos at my local dealer. Same measurement. Examining pictures of Raptors with the flares removed makes me think the sheet metal it's self isn't flared out like the front fenders are.

Any one try a non-raptor approved rear bumper of any manufacturer or design? Any one try the tubulars that I like? Do any of them actually fit like I think they will despite the "excluding Raptor" warnings?

What have you all found so far with rear bumpers?

I don’t have any experience with rear bumper fitment but, I can confirm that there are several products that Ford states will not fit the Raptor and they do - FP Winch, Soft top are a pair that I have first hand experience with with.

Is it possible to buy the bumper from a supplier that would accept a return if it doesn’t fit? (Because based on your measurements and the fact that the rear bumper is nearly identical to my former Badlands, I suspect it will fit) YMMV

My CBI front bumper technically doesn't fit the Raptor. It is closer than it probably should be to the fenders at the outer corner, but sits mostly below it.

I think the rear fender is wider just like the front. If the bumper sits below the fenders, you should be fine with them. I just think many manufacturers don't have access to try a Raptor

I replaced my OEM rear bumper with the addictive Desert Designs product. I Love the look plus it is strong enough to withstand a hit on the rocks coming down off of an obstacle. Here's a link:

Any hard pulls on the D-ring mounts? I’m looking at this too, but I’m concerned with the mounting location and distance to the d-ring mount.

Not really anything difficult. I've given a few tugs to help out some stuck rigs but all pretty easy stuff and so far no signs of distress at all.

I've looked everywhere for one. The ADD is the one that stands out on top for me. It is pricy but otherwise checks all the boxes. If you are concerned with the D-ring pulls - on a heavy rip, use the receiver hitch.

Kind reminder, the receiver hitch is rated for 4500 lbs max (perpendicular pull on flat hard surface) and not intended for recovery duty.

The hitch is certainly not rated for hard hits even with a stretchy recovery rope. A 6,000lb vehicle stuck in the mud would liekly receive a shock load exceeding the weight of the vehicle...

Most aftermarket bumpers for these rely on the frame hook bolts which are under the frame and not in line with the pull points. I would hate to see the bumper rotate up and take out both rear quarters...

I'm conflicted on this bumper. Seems very functional. Does it hang down lower than the stock bumper or about the same?

How heavy is it compared to stock with the addition of the swing out carrier? With the perch collars I have, my Bronco sits with a 1/2" rake- its perfect at the moment- even with the 38" spare hanging on the back.

It does not hang down lower than the stock rear bumper, its the same. Total weight if i remember correctly is about 75 lbs. I have 39s and perch collars and it did not change the rake of my vehicle.
