After 2.5 years and 29,000 completely trouble free miles, I sold my Bronco Raptor today. I have to say it has been one of my favorite vehicles I’ve owned, and it performed flawlessly on and off road. For anyone curious about values, mine was a very early 2022, Lux, Carbon Fiber, orange seatbelts, no decals or bead locks. Sticker was just under $78k, and that’s what I paid for it.

Decided to try a couple of local dealers today to see what they might offer, as I really didn’t want to deal with private sale. GMC dealer offered me $60,780. I went down the street to the local Ford dealer and their computer system was down. They said they would call later with an offer. Decided to stop by the local Chevy dealer on my way home where I’ve bought some Corvettes in the past. They offered me $63,000, and I took it.

Considering the $20,000-$25,000 discounts on leftover 2024’s, I felt this was a fair offer. Anyway, it’s been a pleasure being here on the forum for the last few years. I’ve enjoyed seeing how everyone uses their own trucks and learned a lot. Y’all hold down the fort. If I get a bigger garage, I may be back. 👊🏼😎

So, I have to ask - what replaces a Braptor?

Appreciate you taking time to comment on your ownership experience and happy to hear it was full of positive memories. You’re always welcome on this site and hope your decisions lead you to continued happiness. :)
I’m expecting the next generation Bronco Raptor to be a little more refined, and hopefully a little more of everything we Love with our current Raptors. Just something to keep in mind. Best Wishes.

We know there is nothing that can “replace” it, but this is what’s taking it's spot in the garage. 2025 RAM RHO I ordered back in December. H.O. 3.0 Hurricane TT with 540 hp and 521 lb. ft. torque. With a $700 JB4, these are hitting 600ish rwhp. Should be a fun daily, I hope. First RAM ever, and first non-Ford truck in about 20 years for me. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks man! I appreciate that. I’m still going to lurk around here plenty. I’m also thinking the next gen Bronco Raptor is going to be even better than our Gen 1’s! I’ll be following its development closely. Take care, my friend!

I am glad that you enjoyed the Raptor as long as you had it. And hopefully you not only enjoy that Ram but also come back one day with a gen 2 Raptor. All the best!

Thanks, @Apache 8! It was everything I hoped it would be and more. As much as I enjoyed my FE when I took delivery back in 2021, the Raptor was what I really wanted the Bronco to be. I’d say chances are high that I will be an early adopter for the Gen 2 Bronco Raptor! All the best, brother! Thanks again.

I am just getting a Braptor, it will be in addition to a 2020 Ram Power Wagon. I am a huge fan of the Ram platform, great ride quality and my truck with the 6.4 has been incredibly reliable so far with 38k miles.
It was my first Ram/Stellantis product back in 2020 and this Braptor will also be my first Ford ever. I’m coming from a long line of Toyota 4x4s and German/Japanese cars so fingers crossed going all domestic goes well :)

I hope your Bronco Raptor is as trouble free and awesome as mine was! I’m aware that buying the first year of any new model vehicle can be risky, but I’ve been lucky over the years I guess. Hoping that luck continues with this RHO. Main issues I’ve seen so far seem to be batteries and some wiring modules. Hoping those were mainly earlier builds. Wishing you continued happiness with your RAM, and even more good fortune with your new Raptor!

Good Choice, that new RHO High Output 3.0L twin turbo inline six has a very impressive output and I would expect it to get considerably better mpg that the TRX making for a more desirable daily driver. It will be interesting to know if the mpg improved over your Bronco Raptor as the RHO should have better aerodynamics.

Thanks! The early consensus on fuel economy seems to be that the RHO is getting marginally better mpg than the TRX. Some are reporting up to 25% better on the highway, but for many, not as drastic a difference as you might think. The clear advantages over the TRX seem to be the lighter weight in the front end and better handling, improved interior (ie. massaging seats, 10.1” passenger screen, updated UConnect interface, 14.5” center screen), and hands free adaptive driving.

I averaged 15.7 mpg over 29,000 miles of ownership in my Bronco Raptor according to the onboard display. If the RHO is close to that with the power it produces, I’ll be happy. If it’s worse, oh well. I don’t buy any of my vehicles for fuel economy… only for smiles per mile. Time will tell if this truck will deliver them. 😎

WOW - 15.7 avg MPG is impressive! I am excited if the display illustrates 13 MPG when I refuel.

A colleague was recently looking to buy a Raptor and he asked me about MPG and I told him 13 and he was actually considering not buying it for that reason. I told him that life is too short to worry about that malarkey…

Like you, I calculate my MPG on the smiles/mile scale too 👍🏼

Yes, and that was even with the Ford Performance tune put on it the first day it was available to order. I swear my mileage increased slightly with the tune, oddly enough.

There are plenty of legit reasons one may decide a Bronco Raptor isn’t for them, but fuel mileage shouldn’t be one of them. Hope your colleague decides to pull the trigger and enjoy one of these beasts for himself. 😎
