Thinking JCR brush guard

Trying to keep the JCR theme consistent since I have their roof rack system. Honestly it's the only one I've seen that provides a bit more coverage and doesn't block either the running lights or the front camera. Any others out there that I might be missing? Not planning on going with a bumper light bar at this time (famous last words).

I like the JCR design look and almost pulled the trigger before I ended up with a winch bumper- that gives a very similar look.

By the way a few of those bolts will be a pain to get back in due to the angle of the bars and the close proximity of the lower trim above the bumper. Have fun

I would consider removing the bumper, install your new JCR bar, then reinstall as an assembly. Those bolts will be very difficult to reinstall with the JCR mounting pad on top of the bumper. See my suggestions in the thread below under "Removing the OEM bumper". I removed and reinstalled a dozen times safely and easily by myself. You could try loosening the bumper enough to pull out just enough to insert and tighten the bolts, but may take another set of hands. Keep in mind the front of the bumper will want to rotate downward which may make it easier. The JCR install instructions should also have a recommendation.

Seriously?. I've rebuilt engines and probably have every tool for awkward hard to reach places in the book. Is it really that bad where it's easier to remove the entire bumper? I thought I was looking at a five minute installation, LOL. Will read your thread now.

As your now aware, easier on a Bronco having the bumper end cap bolts fully exposed vs Raptor with the wider lower valance. Good video with some helpful insight.

#1. Remove the bumper...... Trust me. It is so much easier if you do and it's not that hard to remove. Just a bunch of fiddley plastic fasteners holding that silver trim on.
#2. (Red Arrow) They send you some bolts to use for the ends of the bar. Mine were missing from my package. So in the end I just don't have a bolt on that connection. The angle of the tube doesn't allow you to use the factory bolts there. You can't get access the Torx from on top. You have to use an open end wrench with their bolt for at least those two if you want them tight. Those look like factory bolts in the pic and I'm pretty sure that the ones in that pic are probably only hand tight.
#3. (Blue Arrow) are a real PITA if you don't take the bumper off. The extra width of the Raptor fenders means that they hang over the bolt head slightly. You can get a tool on them but it's tough while on the truck. Was too worried about scratching it. Easier if you take the bumper off and do it.
#4. Consider finding some washers and painting them black. I didn't and when I tightened the bolt I had the powder coat fracture and flake in two different areas. Their response was use some Rustoleum black..... That hid it but doesn't last. It rusted there after a year. So had to clean that up and paint it a second time. Disappointed that it didn't hold up since I work for the company that makes Rustoleum. LOL

Thanks for the pointers, much appreciated. I'll likely just take the entire bumper off per everyone's suggestions or at the very least, loosen everything so I can tilt it forward.

Anyone know what the bolt size and thread pitch is for the bumper accessory fasteners? They're M6x1.00 up on the cowl/ditch light covers.
