Whipple Superchargers has unveiled a Stage 1 tuning kit designed for Ford Bronco Raptor owners, aiming to boost the performance of the vehicle's twin-turbocharged V6 engine. The kit enhances horsepower, torque, and drivability while adjusting elements such as transmission shift points. The stock Bronco Raptor's 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6, which generates 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque, receives an additional 60 horsepower and 80 pound-feet with the tuning kit when running on 93-octane gasoline. This elevates the SUV's overall output to 478 and 520, respectively. The kit also provides a more linear power curve by making more torque accessible at around 2,000 rpm and updates the 10-speed automatic transmission's shift points to optimize the extra power.

Whipple asserts that customers who opt for its Stage 1 kit can upgrade to larger, 44-inch tires and more robust axles. The package also features an upgraded intercooler named Mega Cooler, which offers a 58% increase in internal core volume and a 144% expansion in external fin surface area. On a dyno, the Mega Cooler achieves a 32-degree temperature reduction, delivering more oxygen to the engine and allowing for an increase in the ignition system's spark advance.

The Whipple Stage 1 kit costs $1,850 (with an additional $50 for the available semi-gloss black finish) and takes about two and a half hours to install. Whipple claims that no major mechanical modifications are required to fit the kit because it consists of bolt-on components.
