Morning, first post on the blog. Picked up a 2024 Braptor in Azure grey with black out on Pres day. Traded in my 2022 Wildtrak and 2013 Raptor(66kmiles). In short, a 2 for 1, result is the best of both! Anyway, the other day while pulling out of my driveway, hit my "R" button that flips the vehicle into sport mode for suspension, steering, exhaust and turns auto run start off. A few seconds later, heard this hellacious loud metal bang and felt things under my seat. I had the window down so it was really obvious that the noise came from the area in front of the rear driver side tire. With nothing on the road, knew I didn't hit anything. My first instinct was that a turbo just came apart into the exhaust but have no codes or lights on the dash. I pulled over in a neighbors drive way and looked under neath. Nothing looked out of place so I ventured on. What I noticed now is that the exhaust sport mode sounds more like quiet and Baja sounds like sport. I haven't heard any more banging like something is loose in the exhaust area.
I'm planning on taking it back to the dealer as I'm thinking it was a catalytic converter or internal baffle that came apart and is now wedged somewhere in there. I've seen the blogs where folks have had problems with after an offroad venture but does anyone have an idea on what it might be?
