I have the ADD bumpers on my rig and I’ve had nothing but trouble with the adaptive cruise control since relocating it from the bumper. It senses vehicles in the other lanes and panic breaks as if it’s about to rear end another vehicle when the cruise control is set. It will turn off the cruise control for no reason as if there is debris on the sensor. It will also beep at me in the cab if someone makes a right hand turn in front of me. I’ve tried adjusting the angle of the sensor with washers, but that did nothing. Of course the dealer recommends putting the stock bumpers on, which isn’t an option. Any ideas?

Someone smarter than me will have to provide the “real” answer but I suspect there is a calibration procedure that should correct your ills. Perhaps you can inquire with your dealer or an autobody shop…

I have the ADD rock fighter bumper on my 23 Braptor with a Warn winch and ACC relocation and camera relocation.

I had a couple issues after installation with the calibration. Brought it to my local customization shop here in Grand Rapids, Michigan and they got everything lined up with the sensors perfectly and my ACC works great.

Have more problems with the back bumper sensors in the corners because the rock fighter bumper has a slightly different profile and angle than the factory stock back bumper. But then I discovered that the back sensors are also in the tail lights and again, because the profile the back bumper the sensors that are in the tail lights, see the bumper differently than the stock bumper and occasionally causes interference, especially when there’s snow or ice on the bumper.
