Anderson Composites carbon fiber hood and top. Pictures don’t do it justice. It’s pretty incredible in person!View attachment 15480
Did you have PPF applied on the hood before the ceramic coating? Also, was the CF hood basically a part for part swap from the OEM hood or did you need to have to add things like a heat protector under the hood, etc?

It was a direct swap except for the lift struts. Had to buy a different type that mounts to the hinges: OEM’s won’t work. Fun fact: Raptors also don’t come with a prop rod like the other Broncos. Never noticed it until after the hood was installed and I needed to prop it up.

Bought and applied a thermal shield from Anderson when I bought the hood.

Still need to install hood pins, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Wanted to wait until after PPF, but there’s only one installer in the area and he’s booked up for a while.

Got tired of waiting, so had a local shop apply the ceramic coating a couple of weeks ago. He’s done a couple of other Bronco’s for me and did a great job, so I went ahead and got him to do the Raptor, too.
