I'm a little late on reporting. Lots of traveling around the western US. Heading off to The Maze (and Orange Cliffs) district of Canyonlands NP next week. A month early for the annular total solar eclipse on 10/14.

Anyway, here's the August data. The MAP had the assembly line humming. We'll see how the UAW impacts the September numbers. Still assembling MY23 vehicles.

FYI, MY24 production is currently scheduled to start up the week of 6-NOV.

Constraints . . . same as before just different numbers. Here's something new . . . running out of Shadow Black paint; does not affect BRs.

Notice a trend here for August? Hard Top constraint continues; going on 22 months.

Boy Howdy, September was the slowest production month since SEP 2021. UAW impact.

No production scheduling this week or last week. The last scheduled week was week 42; 16-23 OCT. The minimal September production has depleted the component pipeline. Not looking good for orders waiting to be built.

OK, I was in Europe for a month so here's the very late October productions numbers. Obviously, all but a line stoppage. Slowest production month EVER since pre-production. UAW impact. It is believed that MAP cleaned up some the "holds", which resulted in the 82 Broncos for October.

I was at the Ford MAP on 24-NOV and the employee parking lot was packed full. We should expect to see some good numbers next week for November.

Note that the model year change over is no the end of October. Due to the UAW strike, the change over this year is the end of December.

Let's talk constraints . . .
Here are the last four weeks (newest to oldest). Notice that the 99 code has been zeroed. There are 11,380 back orders; up from 9,117 at the end of the UAW strike. As always, 4dr hard tops are constrained (23%). Only 10% of orders want a soft top.

Let's talk scheduling . . .
Here are the notes for the last three weeks (newest to oldest). Key points:
  • MY23 order banks are closed
  • MY23 scheduling is complete through 22-DEC, which is followed by the Christmas shutdown.
  • Currently scheduling MY24 through week 6
  • Note the requirement(s) to get a Raptor scheduled.
If you don't already have a build date for your Raptor, then your dealer has most likely called you and you have been bumped from MY23 to MY24. So sorry, price increases may/will apply.

Let's talk price . . .
It appears I missed a $500 increase to the MY23 Raptor MSRP; started sometime in SEP-NOV. Now $86,580 before options and D&D.

The ordering constriants and pricing have not changed for MY24 Raptor.

The chart below show the MY23 price increases.

That's a hefty increase in the base cost from the original price in a short period of time!

Yep, a 26.4% increase base sticker cost (MSRP + D&D).

The previous chart illustrates, in hindsight, rationalization (i.e. break even) for paying an ADM in the early MY23 days. The ADMs were never justified; they are pure dealer greed.

I absolutely love my 🌶️ Raptor! But, given todays prices, I would find it hard to purchase a MY24 Raptor.

Geez, I'm getting kind of slothful now that I have a new love interest.

The Ford MAP finished December with a 'normal' production month.

CY24 brings on MY24. I saw a MY24 Wildtrak last week; either that or it was a MY23 with painted flares.
