flat towing

I bought this one. The Raptor is about 28 inches to the center of the recovery points. My 2020 Discovery LXE 40M needed about 10 inches of rise. The Gen-Y is a massive piece of steel!​

I have about 8k miles now towing my Brapter set up behind my 45' class A. Roadmaster base plate
for modular bumper, Air force one braking, roadmaster diode tail light set up. It is easy to wire dual diode
set up as pulling the plastic access panels give enough room to wire without pulling the taillight housings.
7 in hitch riser was perfect alignment for my coach. If it weren't for the rear camara I would never know
it is there. I was pleasantly surprized how easy it was to put it all together.

One more very important item!!!! A charge line connection. Many a Ford has burned up on account of
dead battery and the transfer case/transmission shifts.
 
I've called around and no one seems to have the wiring yet, I'm going to use the D-Rings (1-inch from Blue Ox). I've talked to multiple people and got mixed answers, so I'll keep looking closely for cracks and deforming at the recovery points. I guess for wiring I'll have to order an external kit for now, I need to be on the road in 3 weeks, and this seems to be my only option for now.

I missed this, I'll talk to e-trailer again about the diode light set-up

@BahnBob what is the process to prepare the Raptor to be flat towed ? Or where do we find the info. Thanks

Have any of you guys heard about issues flat towing a Bronco Raptor? On another forum a guy mentioned tons of issues and my google searches only found where 21 and older broncos had issues but nothing Bronco raptor wise. We had planned on flat towing ours some for a few trips so now i'm concerned.
Thanks and my apologies if I derailed the thread but seems to lots of flat towers in here which would know for sure.

Braptor almost ready to flat tow behind my F450 motorhome. I have been working on this project for a month.
Tested the tow with my F150.

1. Custom 3/4 inch steel towing base plate integrated into my frame and bumper.
2. Road master tow bar
3. Curt towing light wiring that integrate directly into the Bronco lights- plug and play.
4. Customized safety chain mounting points on the Braptor frame. Removed the bumper end caps and installed on top of the crash bars.
5. I have a Curt 6 inch tow bar riser coming to balance the tow points on my RV.
6. patriot brake controller. The Braptor is almost 6000 lbs- breaks are important!
7. Also added a battery trickle charger line to keep the battery charged while using the brake controller.
8. 12 volt dedicated line added to drivers floor area for the brake controller.
