I'm not sure where it states "up to 3 times", but the lawyer in me says that 1, 2 or 3 falls into that category and meets the intent.

Agreed, I would have liked to run the Baja course 1 or 2 more times. Ideally, it would be great to have a 2-day session and everyone drives until they are tired. Although it is not totally "free", it is a great gift (as is the swag) from Ford. I did not get anything from Jeep when I bought a new vehicle. I was very happy to give up a 2nd run on the Ultra4 course for a ride along with Vaughn Gittin.

With regards to the drive to and from Raptor Valley, yes it would be nice to have the Ultra4 and Baja courses on site at Mt Potosi, but the terrain does not lend itself to that. It is awesome that the Off-Roadeo was able to find additional land to develop the three courses at "Raptor Valley"; Ultra4, Baja and Rock crawling. You can look at my other posts to see what I thought of the rock crawling.

FYI, if anyone is interested in Moab or Ouray, im me. I'm thinking about linking up Poison Spider, Golden Crack and Gold Bar Rim. Now that's rock crawling!

The time on each course is also dictated by the number of drivers in each session. As previously noted, each roadeo is broken up into two sessions, 0800 and 0900, with up to 8 drivers each. If your session only has 4 drivers, then you could possibly get additional laps. My session had 8 drivers and I only got one lap on each course.

Again, it's a gift, not an entitlement. It helps to have the proper perspective. Just saying.
Thank you. I know I am not crazy and heard it or saw it somewhere stating up to three times to try. If it wasn't written it might have been from one of the influencers reviewing and recapping the initial experience. I will have to rewatch the videos. Sorry if I shared wrong information.

Is the pic package and video two separate packages and you can buy one or both or if buy the video package it includes the pics?
They are listed as two separate packages on my receipt. One is the Raptor VBOX x 1 for $65 and the other is Raptor photo content capture x 1 for $29 for a total with tax of $101.87.

It sure would be nice if they would tell the people checking in about the availability of both the video and the picture package. No one ever mentioned anything about them when we checked in and registered.

On BRO Day 1, I was the last driver to get checked in. They only had 4 of 8 BRs outfitted with the cameras for the 0900 session. If 4 drivers hadn't passed on the package, then I would have never had the opportunity. I'm not sure what the ratio of camera equipped BRs was for the 0800 session.

My 0800 session on the 29th only had two Raptors equipped with video. I got lucky and was one of the first checked in.

I'm planning on bringing my Insta360 camera to plug into the dashboard accessory port as well as hopefully connect my iPhone via CarPlay to record via the Trail app (with a suction mount).

Just some info on the Bronco Raptors at the Off-Rodeo. They do not have the LUX package so there is no dashboard accessory. You will need a longer cord to use the accessory ports below the shifter.

True story. And the port in the center storage arm rest is the power for the video box and USB to your memory stick. If you get an outfitted BR check it often. I think the cord was loose on mine, which is why I didn't get any afternoon video.

Best to go prepared with all your own gear and necessary equipment. Just like those influencers and YouTube posters.

Couple more Reviewer video's.

Finally signed up for a cooler temperature Monday in late-October. Just dawned on me that maybe the thing I’m looking forward to the most (even more than the jumps) is the fact that I don't have to clean the Raptor (inside and out) after thrashing it in the dirt all day long! That’ll be a real treat.

QQ for all y’all who have already been. The “know before you go” says long pants and long sleeves. That seems insane to me for the nevada desert in August. As I’m packing for Saturday, do i really bring jeans and waterproof layers? It seems like this is generic to all Off Roadeos (New Hampshire in October, Texas in January) and not Mt Potosi in August.

I wore light weight Kuhl pants, that I could zip off if needed, and a short sleeve shirt. It was full on sun 14-Jul. No rain in the forecast. The BRs have good A/C. A lot of drivers wore shorts.

They say you'll get dirty. I expected to do a full on recovery (high center?), but the training did not include anything like that.

I wore shorts and short sleeve (t-shirt) with longer clothes to put on if weather or conditions dictated, which they did not. Dress as comfortable as possible. The weather was still pretty hot when I went through at about 110 degrees and the staff stated that a blown tire had to be changed en route to Raptor Valley on a previous session and the air temperature was approximately 127 degrees. Weather aside, you are going to have the time of your life. I look forward to successive courses, whatever the cost, to get more time, instruction and expertise with this incredible machine. Good Luck!

Thank you for this. I run hot anyway, so good to know it’s not a hard requirement. Appreciate the response.

Many thanks for the reply. I’m excited to do this course. I did the Texas OffRoadeo in late 2021 before my WildTrak arrived and had a blast. I can only imagine what taking everything up a notch or two is going to be like.

It was 110 full sun when I went last weekend. I wore jeans, a short sleeve shirt, a hat, and brought a long sleeve sun shirt as to not get completely roasted. Instructors encouraged people to stay in vehicles and the vics stayed running with the A/C cranked nearly the entire day.

Not a whole lot of shade after you break camp for the trails and short courses.

Have fun!
