K&N Air Intake system released??

I was tempting to order the KN CAI system by see the #'s. but looking more closely on their system design. I opted out and just use the standard KN air filer to replace the oem paper filter instead. IMO there is a reason the OEM air box design are more complicated and channels, is to not let water easy to pass the filter and prevent hydro lock when go through deep water. And the KN CAI system is designed to let air go more direct to the filter. More air more power!

But for my use of this truck, I do go through deep water, and mud water occasionally out at the trails. in this case is not for me. hydro lock is not fun, and i see many happens on the trail.
I agree, the best air box for off roading with our Bronco Raptor's is the original OEM system and filter that is specifically engineered and designed for our Bronco Raptor use cases.

AFE is releasing a CAI for the Bronco Raptors along with charge pipes for both hot and cold side. Process West also has them. If I didn't already have the K&N one, I'd buy theirs.

I did the K&N single charge pipe a while ago with the Pulsar XT tuner and I think it made a noticeable difference. I ordered and waiting on the AFE charge pipes.

I've had the S&B filter on order through Lethal Performance since October. Who knows when that'll actually arrive.

What are the benefits of aftermarket hot/ cold side charge pipes? I know “gain” wise it would be negligible so I’m assuming just better reliability and consistency?

Btw an update on S&B: after talking to them at SEMA they made the material of the air box just slightly thicker and they send me a new one to install. Since installing it the lid has not popped out. Once it gets warmer I’m going to put the side plug back in and see if I get the same result

Nice! Maybe that's why S&B has been taking so long to ship.

I'm doing them for better airflow and some type of gain. I'm hopefully getting the 5-start (or similar) tune later down the road. The pulsar was the biggest bang IMO, as it removed all the throttle delay. I purchased it before the Procal was released, or I probably wouldv'e gone with that one.

I have a 5 star tune and it has been great! I’m going to send in some data to get it re-tuned in a week or two since they will gladly refine it for you. ZFG is also a great option but I trust 5 star more for longevity of the motor whereas ZFG might be a little faster
