I’m getting ready to do a 2/1 lift and upgrade to 39’s. I’m pretty sure the 39 will not clear the bumper or the 3rd brake light. What is everyone doing to make this work? Can the 3rd brake light be disconnected without a code or fault? Is there a bracket available for the raptor or do I need to fab one?

39's look great and we have members with the 39" spare mounted on OEM mount with OEM 3rd brake light. Below is a couple threads with photos. You may need to have the 2 little 3rd brake light supports that rest on the spare tire customized for the specific tire size and wheel offset.

Additional photo's of @Tye Bronco Raptor in this thread including the 3rd brake light clearances.

Link to Sinister Speed Shop for the custom support blocks.

If anyone needs it, i have a 3rd brake light extension for the bronco raptor made by rpg that is brand new never used that i'd be willing to sell

Tye, do you still have this? What did you go with on yours?

yes i have it still. i went with a fully custom chase/ brake light that mounts to my expedition one bumper swing arm

Just installed 38x13.5R15 Nittos on my Raptor wheels and am battling this to some degree. The wider tire causes the wheel not to sit completely against the wheel mount on the tailgate. The rubber of the tire itself sits against the plastic on the tailgate, but the top pushed the brake light into the wiper.

Thinking I likely need a spacer on the wheel mount itself. Anyone done this? Pics?

I will note, the Nitto is far closer to advertised size than the BFG and this barely clears the bumper when closing the tailgate. I think the 39" BFG would likely fit, but over that and you need an alternative solution.
