Hi Friends,
Did the ProCal tune at a dealership Monday.
Before tune: 418 HP and 440 lbs. of torque. After tune: 455 HP and 536 lbs. of torque
When I first drove away I didn't notice much difference. It seemed smoother but not a huge difference in the HP or torque. I was in a city so that may have had something to do with it. Don't spend much time there. Was kinda gassing it a bit and I guess I felt a little better acceleration.
I really noticed it when getting on the highway and while driving on the highway. At about 4000 plus RPM it is noticeable. There is more power available and the torque is noticeable while passing. It also was smoother with less shifting.
When I hit some dirt road trails on a friends private land I could tell the difference. This is where I could feel free to really check it out. From a rolling start and flat footing it the acceleration is better and the shifting seems less and an overall smoother transition to speed.
I think it makes a difference and the power is where you want it to be. Glad I got it put in and am looking forward to really spending some time with it.
Longer shifts and overall smoother with more pep. Before it seems you were really working through those gears if you were giving it.
That's my take.
