Rear Speaker Pods

I have an extra set of MTI Raptor pods new in the box. I love the set that I installed. They are a nice fit and sound great.

I will sell my extra set for $225 + shipping from 23226. Please let me know if you want them.
Probably a long shot, but do you still have these?

Yes, MTI arrived and installed. Perfect fit but make sure you order speakers with the front grill. I ordered the speakers on the MTI website as it gives you several options along with the MTI Pods. I went with the JL as that is what I upgraded all other speakers to.
Did you install these and if so stock amp or headunit for power and if so how do they sound/ I ordered them yesterday with the focal coax speakers and not wanting to add new amp. I may grab a forscan for the new tune that was released today so may I could use that to tweak them also? Any info would be great!!!

I initially installed them with stock headunit & amp but later learned that the B&O system did not amp up the rear pods. Still, it sounded better than the smaller speakers that came stock. I did end up adding an amp for those speakers after a few weeks because I still wasn’t happy with sound when the top is off of Bronco. Bought the amp & harness from PlugNPlaykits.com. Easy install and made a huge difference. I did not tweak anything with ForScan.

I have the 10 speaker B&O system. What kit did you get to run the pods? Thanks

IMG_1569.pngIt was Kit 18. You plug the harness in at the head unit and then I put the amp under the passenger seat. The harness that comes with it is super long so you can put the amp pretty much anywhere….I cut and spliced the harness to make it shorter because I didn’t need that much. The install for the amp/harness took about 20 min.

Thank you!!!! So its all done upfront nothing in the rear.. Nice

Hope I can figure it out, have done a few other installs in our wakeboat and also a couple past cars... This seems much more straight foreword than those for sure lol...

Correct…you take out a screw to the left of center and one inside the glovebox to drop panel giving you access to the rear of the headunit. You unplug the OEM harness from the headunit, plug the OEM into the plugnplay harness and then plug the other end of the plugnplay harness back in to headunit. Run a power wire from the amp to the battery. The amp power wire doesn’t come with the kit but you can buy that on Amazon or anyplace that sells car audio.

Yes, much easier that working on a boat for sure. If you have any questions, let me know. I upgraded all my speakers and put a different amp on an upgraded subwoofer. There are a lot of threads on B&O upgrade so I learned a little from them all.

I’ll have to check them out!!!! Thanks and I’m sure I may hit you up! Oh ya the boat was a pita to even get to things LOL

just upgraded to the Focal slatefiber since im going to amp them...

There might be room somewhere under the dash as that amp is small but I didn’t look. Yes, the power wire goes through the rubber grommet near the emergency brake.

ended up going Slatefiber for the rear pods and will amp them as we had discussed. Also ordered the Alpine direct replacement speakers for the rest of the B&O system... Wondering how that will sound and then prob hit the sub...

You will definitely notice a difference. When you get to the sub, I did a plugnplaykit for that also. I used the Kicker Comp sub and Key 500.1 amp which he sells as a kit with the harness. Good luck and let me know what you think once you have it done. It’s a fun project.
