What are you working on until your Bronco Raptor arrives?

I'll take & post a link to my Cayenne exhaust here soon. Yes air suspension, approximately 3" of travel but looks like 6", comes in handy to wash out the wheel wells or change oil. At 80mph or sport mode it auto drops 5/8 inch, drops again over 137mph and becomes surprising comfortable. Mine has all options except towing, which would be 7,716lb intended for towing your Porsche race car to the track.

It's an amazing engineering achievement, as will all Porsches, and our Bronco Raptors will be equally amazing just in a different way.
My Cayenne TurboS sound clips. Similiar concept to engine technology to the 3.0L V-6 Ecoboost but a 4.8L V-8, no cats 3" true duels off the Turbos thru the Turbo stock muffler which is a low restriction straight pass through. (Each engine bank has its own separate 3" exhaust (no x-pipe)).
Cold Startup
Warm Idle with Revs

That sounds SO good! I bet it runs great too! That's the great thing about Porsche they always have that sporty feel even if it's a family SUV.

Thank you, on the inside it's not very noticeable and on the highway it's quiet, inside. However, everyone on the outside of the car definitely notices. I think the Macan feels sportier with the PDK but the trans is what provides the Cayenne with the towing capability.

The Cayenne has Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) an active roll stabilisation that suppresses lateral body movement during cornering. The component is hydralic (later is electrical) front and rear anti sway bars that continually adjust. This technology is used in the Bronco sway bar disconnect, just in a different fashion to disconnect/connect the 2 sway bar halves vs Porsche uses to adjust resistance.

Aahhh so that's how they tune a heavy SUV to perform more like a sports car! How do you find the electronics to be holding up? Are you an Apple Carplay guy or how are you connecting your phone to the infotainment system?

No problem with electronics, the Porsche infotainment can be upgraded to support Carplay. Mine had the optional iPod support so I bought a BoVee bluetooth that connects to the iPod connector and it's flawless. Phone call support is thru Porsche bluetooth. My iPhone also connects thru bluetooth to the Escort radar detector and all 3 bluetooth connections work concurrently without any issues. Only problems in 40k miles is new battery, thermostat, and air pump fitting.

I somehow had no idea that Toyota offered the 4Runner with a V8! I would assume that's a very desirable model?

How do you like the GasGas bikes? It looks wicked, but I don't know anything about them or how they compare to the Japanese dirt bikes.

Pretty desirable for sure, this one will go for about 24k I would guess when raptor shows up !! Yes- KTM/GG/Husqvarna under one roof now. All pretty much identical w/slight differences. most popular brand for sure. Also just finished up an 08 Tundra reg cab Longbed 5.7 beast in rare color of Inferno !! Love these trucks.

Ah yes, KTM and Husqvarna have made a big comeback and their new bikes are top-notch!

I think I’m stepping up in the world joining the Braptor club after seeing what you guys are working on. I’m sticking a VW TDI diesel engine into an ‘86 Toyota pickup, redneck style.

That's a great idea! Pairing a super-efficient diesel engine with a classic Toyota pickup is a win in my book! Are you going to be able to keep 4WD? Any other pictures of the truck?

My love for these trucks started the instant I saw the Back To The Future Toyota SR5.

I used a 2WD because I am going for MPG and I won’t wheel it and want to keep it off the salty roads in the winter. No need for 4WD although they look better, but it would work with the swap. The truck is lighter than the VW it came out of and will have twice the HP and a ton more torque. Otherwise stock. I expect to do close to 50 MPG highway. I only have this other pic on this phone. Nice truck BTW. I’m in Massachusetts, they are extinct up here

I bet you will get 50 mpg out of it!

I was at the gas station and the cost for Diesel is insane, over $5 a gallon in FL, MPG may not save you right now.

We got tired of our sunglasses shooting across the dash of our Bronco so we are currently working on a solution for this. We are calling them Hold Fast DashMats! They should fit the Bronco Raptor as well, but if they don't, we will make some that do!

It looks good, Is there anything to actually hold them down? like a clip or strap? I would think a bump or something would send them sliding to the floor, and in my case under the drivers foot to get scratched and broken.

We made these out of thick rubber so that they have good holding grip without having to drill or use any special mounting hardware. So far we have not been able to get them to budge or have anything pop out of them. I'm sure you might be able to upset them if you hit some whoops at 50 mph, but if that's the environment you're going to drive in, then you might want to take things off the dash anyways. More testing to come!

No offense, but EVERYBODY that's getting a Raptor will be driving in those environments. It's the ultimate high-speed desert runner (and rock crawler, and mall cruiser)!
