39 to 40 Inch Tires for the Bronco Raptor

Looks Great! Our 37's are starting to look... small. I like the tire to flare stick out, looks perfect, Well Done! :cool:

How does it drive? You noticed the -10 lbs per wheel when you went to the RTR wheels, you must notice gaining the tire weight along with the taller tire/gearing.
yes the additional weight of the 39 over 37 is noticeable, but it still drives very nice. Still handled great on a recent trip on the twisties of hwy 50 up to south lake tahoe. Weight wise its about same as forged beadlock capable + 37.

Are you guys getting the same size colars all around, or a bigger colar in front than rear, to make it level?
I want to retain the factory rake, so going 1.5 front and 2.25 rear

Did you notice any rubbing during your trip?

If you want to keep the factory rake why wouldn't you lift it the same amount front and rear? The factory rake is about 1" higher in the rear. If you raise the front 1.5" and the rear 2.25" your rake front to rear would be roughly 1.75" higher in the rear.

The RPG collar sizes do not represent true lift height. The rear springs in the Bronco Raptor are softer than the front, hence requiring more lift to retain the factory rake.

Foutz is different, Foutz says 2 inch collars lift the front and rear 2".

Looking good. It appears the Foutz 2" front and 1" rear has the vehicle sitting level? Is that correct?

It should be I have not really seen it in person and just got these pictures today. Still have LP4's going on so that should look good.

I think what would help everyone out here is if we created a dedicated thread to lift collar and actual measured heights after. For example, Brand of Collar, Size front and rear, Tire brand and size, height measurement from ground to fender.

I will get it back on Friday the 21st and will post the specs. I needed it to be under 6'9" due to parking garage. So my guess it should be between 6'7" and 6'8" with the 38's and with the collars.

Also, i did before and after height measurements to see true lift with the RPG 1.5 front and 2.25 Rear combo:

Front went up just shy of 1.5", rear went up 1.5"

Cool, I was going to ask but assumed you just hadn't posted yet. I knew you would have taken before and after measurements, Thank You! With your 39's your Bronco Raptor is now 2.5" higher than stock height. :cool:

Just finished one up with RPG 3/2.25 and Nitto trail grapplers in a 38.

Welcome to the forum! 🍻 Thank you for posting the comparison photo. Appears the Jeep has a considerable amount of suspension modification to achieve a similiar height to the Bronco Raptor that's just on lift collors.

Have any of you adjusted for the speedometer? On the std bronco I know I’m stuck to 2780mm before the bcm goes crazy. Anything different in the Raptor platform?

Was about to pull the trigger on some 38x13.50 but decided to stay stock suspension and do a more aggressive 37 and 00 offset wheel.

Went with Yoko G003 MT in 37x12.50 = 76 lbs
KMC Carnage 17x9 0 offset - 27 lbs

Total = 103 lbs

The factory specs (to my knowledge) are
BFG KO 37x12.50 = 65 lbs
Ford Forged, Beadlock Option 17x8.5 = 36 lbs

Total = 101 lbs

Def like the new stance and look while only adding a couple lbs to each corner. Rides and looks great!

But….def jealous of them 38-40’s!! 😁

Congrats, love the look, great choice, and as a bonus it's without weight penalty!

Nice work everyone. I just picked up my Braptor yesterday and had a nice drive back to San Diego from Vegas where the Ford dealer had a big selection of Braptors to choose from.

No the fun begins with the mods. I’m wanting to put 38 x 13.5 x 17 tires on along with some Raceline Beadlock wheels.

I’m trying to figure out what would be the best lift. How much to lift, and what to do about adjusting the speedo for tire size.

With not many options for lift kits I’m just waiting to see what is being used and if the feedback is good or bad.
