How do you know what # Raptor you have based on VIN?

I am taking delivery this week. I was protected for the March increase, but I felt the MY transition and the February increase. The dealer dropped the ADM number to help with the increased MSRP since my order was placed 11/01/2022. I really feel bad for those who have yet to reach the in-production stage.
Great to hear you getting your Bronco Raptor. I know you have to be excited. I'm glad to hear you're dealer is somewhat trying to help with the pricing. These "MY" increases are really starting to add up. I just wonder if it really will keep dealers from marking them up over msrp.

I think not, because...dealers. But the clear takeaway from this turn of events is that eventually reality sunk in with Ford that they severely underpriced the Raptor from the get-go. MY22 recipients basically won the lottery if they got an MSRP deal.

That was decent of them. My dealer is still passing on the increase even though my order was placed 10-03-2022. We'll see what happens when the final papers are signed.

I dont understand the ADM... I just picked up my Truck yesterday... The window was showing 87,935

I was given the customer protection from ford... I paid 82,635 plus tax and license. If you ordered a car why is there ADM???
Not only were they always on top of my order they were simply amazing throughout the entire process of buying it!
I can understand ADM if you didn't order a car and it was just sitting there but not on a special order...

BR delivered to dealer on 19-APR; still working on the dealer regarding 10-FEB price increase.

I called Ford Bronco Support, 800-334-4375, today after seeing Tim Bartz’s (Ford Video Guy) Tuesday, 4/18, podcast.

Ford Bronco Support confirmed what Tim Bartz has stated, “within the model year price protection is in effect and every time we talk about a price increase we tell you that they're automatically price protected so they will always be price protected within the model year so if you put in an order anytime throughout the model year you're locked into the price of what it was when you ordered the vehicle …. Ford will honor it, it's up to the dealerships to honor it as well.”

Bingo! General sales manager at dealer called and agreed to everything. All's well that ends well. Closed today.

Boy Howdy, why all the drama?
Congratulations! 🍻 Are you bringing it home today? I’m happy for you that the deal went in your favor.

Much obliged! Not today, I'm in Utah skiing and won't get back to Wyoming for another 10 days. I got a walk-around video on Wednesday. We signed all the papers electronically, which is how I did my last two houses. I did them a favor by closing in April so they could book sales and get allocation credits. 🌶️ is sitting on their showroom floor getting all kinds of attention. I just hope they can buff out all the fingerprints before I get there. ;)

The sales guys and finance guy said they wouldn't have ordered a HPR Bronco, but now that they see it in person, they all wish their Broncos were HPR.

I guess I'll miss out on the 2-6 May Bronco Safari in Moab, but I live so close every weekend is a Moab weekend. And every day is Saturday for retired folks. Gotta love it!

I'm still a little upset about the subwoofer delete issue. Nobody would fess up to giving Ford authorization to amend the DORA. Per Ford support, the dealer was supposed to get a signed agreement from the customer; see attached.

Happy to hear the Dealer finally did the right thing! Congrats on getting the new truck! My dealer said the same about the color...

The last 6 digits of the VIN is the numerical sequence. BRaptors, regular Broncos and Rangers are assembled at the Ford MAP in Wayne MI; hence, the BRaptors sequence numbers are mixed in with the other vehicles. It would take someone at Ford doing some production research to determine if your BRaptor is XXX of YYYY for MY22. Since it is only important for bragging rights, I don't think it is worth the effort.

What I would like to know is the difference between the A, B and C prefixes of the sequence number. Is it just a sequence number, meaning A00001 to A99999 then B00001 etc.? Is it sequential independent of model year, line, series or body type?

My MY23 BRaptor VIN is --B10302, which would imply that Ford has made all of the 'A' series and has started on the "B' series. That is over 110,000 vehicles for the MAP (BRaptors, regular Broncos and Rangers), which is totally possible for a given MY. However, since MY23 only started in November 2022, did the MAP crank out 110,000+ vehicles in 3 months? Not likely given the US quarterly Bronco and Ranger sales numbers.

It is difficult to say that production and sales numbers for a given quarter are the same. Also, the MY typically starts in October or Q4 of the previous CY.

Example #1
Looking at window sticker examples we can see a MY21 regular Bronco with a --A65550 VIN, which was assembled in Q2CY21. Using the sales number to estimate the MY production numbers we get a MAP total production for MY21 through June 2021 of 151,954. The Bronco only total is 66,435. So it is seen that the sequence number is dependent on the "line" but independent of the trim level or "series" and the A65550 VIN is reasonable for June 2021.

Example #2
Looking at window stickers for MY22 BRaptors with a --A50604 and --A51068 VIN, which were assembled in Q3CY22. The Bronco MY22 total through Q2CY22 is 77,852. So neither A50604 or A51068 is reasonable for July-August 2022, which implies that MY22 may not have started in OCT 2021 (Q4). Using only Q1 and Q2 sales numbers we get 53,033 Broncos, which makes the A50604 and A51068 VINs more reasonable. Note that if the sequence number was dependent on the "series" then that would imply the Ford made over 50,000 BRaptors in the first half of 2022; is that reasonable? Probably not. Bronco Nation estimates that only 2000-3000 BRaptors will be made annually.

Example #3
@widnere12 posted a --A80364 VIN for a MY23 BRaptor with a build date of 11-21-2022. Also looking at a window sticker for a MY23 regular Bronco with a --A86290 VIN and a build date of 11-17-2022 we see the MY did not start over at A00001. So what is going on here and why does a BRaptor built 4 days after a regular Bronco have a low sequence number? Clearly from all the postings, Ford ran the MAP for MY22 through the end of October to catch up on aging orders. So did Ford make over 80,000 MY23 Broncos is 3 weeks? Absolutely not! Logic cannot explain this large sequence number; however, it may explain why I have a --B10302 VIN for a MY23 BRaptor with a build date of 01-23-2023. That is to say the MY23 sequence numbers are a continuation of the MY22 sequence numbers.

Example #4
Looking at a window sticker for a MY22 regular Bronco with a --B18054 VIN, which was assembled in Q1-Q2CY22. How do we explain the 'B' prefix, which implies 118,053 Broncos for MY22? Total reported Bronco sales through the end of Q1CY22 was 144,920 (MY21: 96,528; MY22: 48,392). Clearly, if we want to make sense of Ford's sequence numbers, then we will need a Ford employee in production scheduling to explain it. o_O:unsure:

How about the stick in upper left of windshield? White circle with 17 in it.
Any significance?
