Hi all,

Here's a pic of the tires painted. The D rated come with RWL raised while lettering. I cleaned off the blue protective coating that comes on the tires and painted them with - Dupli-Color® Tire Paint restores tires back to their factory-look.

I have some flat black paint on the way if I really think I need to I will coat cover this with the flat black. The Dupi Color paint adheres to rubber and comes in black. I haven't had the chance to really see how they look mounted inside as it was dark when I was leaving the dealership. I pick up my truck today. @JohnGalt in your post you mentioned painting them before you mount. I was planning to paint them after since I am not doing it myself. Then I thought I will just do it at the dealership prior to the install. They had no problem with that and it was a lot easier than doing it under the vehicle.

I will post some pics with the instal. It turned out great! With a bit of dust you will never know. I marked them "I" for inside.

Yeah don't know. The D and E rated in 37's have the raised white lettering for some reason.

Well done, you achieved your desired results while providing the best possible adhesion for durability.

It is really hard to say. I would say slightly stiffer but not much. Of course you are trying to feel every bump and determine a difference. It seems to ride slightly firmer but not a lot. It may handle a bit better in corners from the stiffness.

I think the takeaway is there isn't a real lot of difference for me so having D rated with the kind of terrain I am usually on is a bonus. I will let you know after some rock crawling if I notice some more slip.

Nice, on the street, do they feel or perform any different than the OEM C load rated?
I must say when rally style driving, like today, I believe the D rated are better than the C rated. They seem to handle better. The sliding is more controlled and predictable. The vehicle feels more planted if that makes sense. Perhaps the stiffer side wall. I am running these at about 34 PSI cold and I was running the C rated at 38 psi cold.

D rated seem to be a sweet spot for me. It will be interesting to see how they handle rock crawling; however, crawling is a relatively small part of my Bronco life so I think I am good.

New soft tread helps dynamics on the road and I expect also with rock crawling. Glad you have these, your OEM tire tread looked beyond worn out. I agree, at 34psi the stiffer D rated sidewall is helping the driving dynamics as you noticed. Always good to have a positive feeling after spending a bunch of money. :giggle:
