Last weekend, I was playing at 60 MPH in a wash, and my fuse plug-in under the driver's side decided to stop working. I would like to wire the above mentioned to a source that is powered when my BRaptor is running. Is there anything in the engine bay that is an option? If not, what are your suggestions?

This user mapped, all the fuse slots in the Bronco Raptor, its extremely helpful. Question for you though how did the fuse tap stop working? Did the wire come loose that goes into the fuse tap itself? it's much better idea to power it from the fuse box under the dash than the one in the engine bay.

The port stop working. I tested it. It's dead. I wasn't sure if I was brave enough to use another port.

For the dash cam, there's an adapter that sandwiches in between the mirror and mirror harness. It has a USB connector. I have a Wolfbox dash/rearview camera setup and it works well and has a USB power input. I use a right angle USB cord to make it a bit more "low profile".

There is, of course, the two USB plugs on the dash as well. Don't have any photos handy but if you need them, I can snap a few tomorrow.

Obviously won't work for the radio. If you have a free toggle, could always do a relay type wiring setup same as you would do for adding exterior lighting. What's the amp draw on the radio? Any idea? Or just find a wire that's powered with the ignition on and use it as the relay trip and run a fused wire to battery.

I have a knack for making easy things way too hard, and this project is no exception. I stepped back and looked at the issue. Instead of running both on one circuit, I separated them as they should have been in the first place. The dashcam is on a fuse tap and the GRMS radio has a dedicated run to the battery with a fuse (heavy enough to add more items in the future if needed).

I just put a Wolfbox in my rig today. I was going to do the fuse tap power. For now I just did the 12v adapter, which is a bust because it is on all the time. Do tell about how you hooked up the power adapter to the mirror connection please.

Not to steal @Ape Factory thunder - the adapter that he linked to is plug & play. Unclip the wire harness from the rear of the mirror, plug in the adapter, plug the mirror harness into the adapter and violá the USB port is now powered with the vehicle ignition. I have this setup for a cheapo dash cam in my wife’s HLE and it works great!

Your other option is to use an add a fuse on #35 under the dash since this is switched power so your mirror will only be on with the ignition. I used this to power my GMRS radio in my Braptor.
