Bronco Raptor Order Banks Open Today @ 3 PM ET!

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor_16.jpg

We have liftoff! If you were lucky enough to receive a Bronco Raptor allocation from Ford's "Hand-Waver" program then today is your day to order! According to our forum member @CVSJR he spoke with Ford this morning and confirmed that Bronco Raptor order banks would open up at 3 pm ET today! Ford also told him that if you did not receive a Bronco Raptor allocation confirmation from Ford then you will have to wait until sometime in May to place your order.

If you are lucky enough to place your Bronco Raptor order today please post up here and let us know what you ordered!

Sent my config into my dealer Tuesday morning. No confirmation yet (just an email on Wednesday that the order banks were F'd up). I'm going to checkin with them shortly to see what's going on.

I had to coach my dealer along. I used THIS forum to inform them of whats happening 🤣

Went in a submitted my order on Tuesday. Just got confirmation that it was placed and accepted by Ford today (not a GTH).

I received my confirmation today as well. I also got a separate email with the dealer invoice- with no markup

My order finally got submitted late last night by my dealer (I have my DORA receipt confirming MSRP). Ford shortly thereafter sent and email confirming my order had been converted (from Badlands to Raptor).

Evidently the process is quite different for new Raptor orders vs converted ones (my situation as a GTH). It’s the conversions that took a couple days to get the software kinks fixed in the ordering system.

Anyway…one hurdle passed - on to the next one (scheduling?).

Do you actually believe that’s the reason why all the ADM orders went through first? Wow.

Congrats, that's a big hurdle!

My config or Oder still doesn’t show up in the ford.com website still says ordering with dealer but I have the pretty picture emails saying order is in. I think I have to check with my dealer.

Are you getting a dealer allocation? If not a dealer allocation , how did you do that without being a GTH ?
Thanks
I just went in and ordered like any vehicle. I had already talked to dealer about allocations. I put a deposit down and when the order banks opened, he put it in and a few seconds later I had my confirmation email.

Sounds like he had an allocation for sales performance, worked out good for you.

Yep you’re lucky. I just talked to my salesman after seeing this and they sold their allocation for 35k over MSRP.
Thank you. I didn't get MSRP, paid $10k. Their sister dealership sold their allotments for $20k over. I've never paid MSRP for any vehicle. Paying that and over just chapped my @$$. I understood though, if I wanted one, I would just have to pay up and shut up. Just the times we live in now.

Considering that they are probably not making more than 3,000 BR's the first year and the industry is looking at even more supply constraints across the board for all vehicles, it's probably not a bad idea to lock down a Bronco Raptor with a reasonable ADM if you get the chance.

Well, on the bright side you can still claim to have never paid MSRP ;)

Same thing with the Raptor trucks in 2017. I wanted one so bad and they wanted 10-15k over MSRP for an ugly one. I didn’t fall for it. Then in 2018 they called me and said they had the exact fully loaded black one I wanted for MSRP. These will come down in price too over time. Especially when the V8 version comes out this fall.

I would be shocked if we ever saw a v8 model. There really isn’t a reason for ford to make one. I was watching one of the design engineers interviews and they chose the 3.0 due to it being the same platform as the 2.7. He also said the reason the reason the flares are so large is because they couldn’t fit a wider body through there existing assembly line. You definitely have to make some sacrifices to keep these things somewhat affordable.
