So I had a two blow out fiasco in the desert where I was surrounded by Broncos but couldn’t use one of their spares without swapping tires off bead locks.

So i have been looking for a belt and suspenders approach to spare tires.

First was Bead grips sidewalk kit. Now I slit a two pack of wheel adaptors with a fellow Raptor owner. About $70 for two.

It’s compact, reasonably light and allows me to run a 6x5.5 wheel. As I’m usually running with two or more Broncos on 37s, this gives me a doomsday scenario option when heading way out in the desert.

Excellent temporary solution. The Bronco hub studs are M12 x 1.5 where as these adaptors have M14 x 2 studs, I'm guessing the Bronco wheel bore is slightly larger than 14mm. Appears you also need to purchase 6 - M14 x 1.5 open end lug nuts which should be plentiful since same size as the F-150, and you may need a thin wall socket.

Well, I guess that is one downside to running bead locks and that’s a fucxing brilliant idea @JohnGalt
As @TurboS wisely pointed out, some additional lugnuts should be included in your doomsday kit too! (Just screw ‘em into the studs so they don’t get misplaced) 👍🏼

I definitely need to do a test fit with the lug nuts. Surprising number of details to consider for something that seems pretty straight forward at first blush!
